Our goal was to build an organization that supported the next generation of entrepreneurs working towards realizing their dreams, but who would also build the future of our city and our region. We felt that if the local talent wasn’t available to support the ecosystem, then why even try to execute this vision? That’s why, from the start, we focused on developing not only programs that would support the startup ecosystem, but also workforce and professional development programs that ensured that every local organization, from startup to enterprise, had access to the talent and resources required to not only grow, but innovate and get to the next level. Out of that need, Betamore Academy was born.
Betamore Academy
Since its inception, our Betamore Academy has graduated more than 300 students. Together, the educational programming and events we have hosted have enabled us to connect with more than 30,000 people in our community. Our education bridges the gap between a traditional liberal arts education and the demand of 21st century jobs. A curated set of industry professionals have taught skills-oriented workshops and courses in the fields of Business, Design, and Technology. Our students are able to further grow their professional networks by interacting with peers across industries and learning from experts in their field. Our programming and events are designed around those foundational principles which we launched in 2013 and we continue to measure against them today, 10 years later.

Workshops + Classes + Other Events
Betamore continues to offers in-person workshops and bootcamps in targeted areas of business building, design and technology throughout the year. Other events range from monthly networking gatherings, daytime panel discussions to exclusive, CEO-only dinners and more.
Beta City
Beta City is our annual fundraising event that recognizes and celebrates Baltimore's leaders, makers and innovators! Recognized as one of Maryland’s largest celebrations of entrepreneurship and innovation.
SET Program
Our Software Engineer Training Program (SET Program) is an intensive 6-month training which aims to expand our region's pipeline of technical talent by providing in person, project-based teaching to individuals looking to lauunch into a tech career.
Startup 101
Startup 101 aims to provide early founders with the accountability, networking and collaboration, and educational interaction needed to move their business idea to the next level. Take the journey with other local entreprenuers!
