Betamore has a new Director of Education
We’re excited to welcome Jess Gartner to the Betamore team as our new Director of Education!
Jess comes to Betamore with a wealth of academic leadership and experience. She studied Education, Political Science, and Theatre Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and has taught in classrooms around the world, including Thailand, South Africa, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. As a 2009 Teach for America Corps Member, she taught middle school Social Studies in Baltimore City for three years. Jess promoted arts and technology integration and received her master’s degree in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University.
Aside from her role with Betamore, Jess is also the founder of an EdTech startup, Allovue – an integrated technology solution to help principals budget school funds, track expenses, and analyze spending data.
Jess will be focused at Betamore on curriculum development and working with our teachers to design classes and workshops. Want to work with Jess and teach a class at Betamore? Let her know.
