Two Educational Powerhouses Join Forces to Grow Baltimore’s Innovation Ecosystem

Baltimore, Maryland – March 19, 2015 – Betamore, the Baltimore incubator, education, and community space, in partnership with the Baltimore Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA Baltimore), the area’s leading provider of continuing education, networking opportunities and industry resources for marketing professionals, will be hosting the city’s premier Marketing Summit: Driving Digital at Betamore’s Federal Hill campus on April 17, 2015.

This event kicks off a new partnership between Betamore and AMA Baltimore that aims to provide professional development programming and mentoring for Baltimore startups, nonprofits, and other small businesses. Jennifer Meyer, CEO of Betamore, commented, “Our partnership with AMA Baltimore allows Betamore to further expand our business mentoring and workshop opportunities. Betamore is in a unique position to provide great innovative space and experienced professionals, while facilitating connections across industries. Technology is a huge part of every organization and our goal is to create educational offerings that serve the entire community.”

This event helps early stage companies as well as the broader Baltimore business community by connecting businesses with local marketing experts to not only learn essential subject matter expertise, but also to bring their tough marketing problems to the table with our workshops,” stated Greg Cangialosi, Chairman & Co-Founder of Betamore, CEO of MissionTix.

The event will focus on re-engineering marketing strategies and driving ROI. Speaker sessions will feature seasoned local marketing professionals including, Will Davis, CMTO of Right Source Marketing, Michelle Andres, VP of the Baltimore Ravens Media, and Greg Cangialosi, CEO of MissionTix. Business owners will learn strategies and tactics that can transform early-stage companies into thriving organizations. Together with marketing experts, attendees will develop actionable plans and receive honest feedback to help them tackle future challenges and leave with tangible marketing strategies. The evening will close with a happy hour at Betamore’s campus space.

The partnership between Betamore and AMA Baltimore is a critical piece to the future of our city – both in terms of strengthening the educational and networking opportunities for established businesses – but more importantly, for startups and up-and-coming students who are entering the job market. By joining forces, we’re able to bolster Baltimore as a thriving community for business, technology, marketing, and entrepreneurship, while serving as a key resource and building block for what the city has to offer in years to come,” said Dov Hoffman, VP Collegiate Relations for AMA Baltimore.
