‘Twas a few days before Christmas,
When all through the office every creature was stirring, even Tobias; the garland was hung in the kitchen with care, Todd hoped that free food soon would be served there. The members were nestled all snug at a desk, while visions of family danced in Suman‘s head; and Mike with his espresso, Alex with his snack, had just settled in for a long catch-up chat; when out in the hall there arose such a clatter, we sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the front we took off in a flash, to catch Brentwood rustling through the trash. His eyes, full of pity, gave our hearts such a squeeze, we had to relent, the clean-up was a breeze. In walked Mike with sunglasses in hand, to find Colin and Gio putting the tree in its stand.
When, what to our wondering eyes should appear, but Chip with Greg and eight types of beer, with a tiny ping so quiet and subtle, we called folks to the kitchen it caused such a bustle. More rapid than emails our members they came, we barely had time to welcome them by name:
“Now, Amber! now, Christine! now, Andrew and Katie! On, Misti! on, Allison! on, Greg, Todd, Lauren, and Tracy! On Brian, on Tom, Jay, Eli and Megan! Welcome Jeff, Frank, and Michael, Steve, David, and Justin! Don’t forget James, Eran, Allen, and Mick; our new member Sarah, and good Ol’ St. Nick.”
And then, in a twinkling, the smiles they grew, as we all enjoyed our Betamore crew.
