Check out our BEWD Updates with Kyle Fritz

Our Academy has been running strong since 2013 and over the past two sessions we began to make some changes to course structure and now course content. In response to the job market, feedback from our students, graduates, and works partners we are excited to announce that the Back-end course is transitioning from Ruby/Rails to JavaScript/Node. Additionally, our course has been reformatted to take on a more advanced programmer. In order to focus necessary attention and energy on more advanced and job-related topics we’ve added some prerequisites to the course. Do not fear – we’ve also compiled a list of open source resources to help guide you through this introduction to programming. With these resources we believe students will be prepared to hit the ground running when they start the Back-end course this May.

To provide more detail and help answer some general questions we sat down with our Back-end instructor, Kyle Fritz, VP of Engineering at OrderUp.
